Packaging Robot Packs Healthcare Products into Boxes - Courtesy of Flexicell

 
 

In this industrial robotic packaging application case study, a FANUC M-6iB robot and a FANUC R-2000iA robot are utilized as part of a flexible packaging line for healthcare products. This automated packaging and palletizing system was developed by Flexicell.

The M-6iB robot picks the healthcare items to be placed into packing boxes. The R-2000iA robot carries an empty box to be filled with the items. After the box is filled, the robot moves the box back to the conveyor for further processing. While the R-2000iA robot waits for the M-6iB robot to get items ready to be packed, it also palletizes completed and taped boxes to be shipped. Once the pallet is full, it is carried off for shipment and a new pallet is brought in.
