FANUC M-1iA Robotic Deflashing Machine Removes Plastic Material from Tape Dispensers

In this application case study of a robotic deflashing machine, a FANUC M-1iA/0.5A 6-axis robot handles and deflashes plastic tape dispensers.

Using iRVision 2D, the M-1iA robot locates and picks the parts. The FANUC M-1iA is designed for small part handling, high speed picking and assembly applications. The part is moved to the first spindle where it is de-flashed. The M-1iA robot moves the part to a buffing wheel for part finishing.
