The FANUC M-1iA/0.5A is a six-axis robot, designed for the high speed and accuracy required to meet today's manufacturing production goals. In this video the infeed conveyor to the left of this demonstration cell depicts how quickly the M-1iA can pick labels from a label feeder and apply one to each tin that moves down the line. The infeed conveyor to the right moves tins without labels to the robot showing how the M-1iA picks and applies the labels. Once three tins have passed through on this side, the robot again focuses its attention to the infeed conveyor on the left. The robot has a built-in camera that uses FANUC iRVision tracking to detect these randomly located tins. iRVision runs on the standard CPU of every FANUC controller without any additional hardware. This six-axis wrist plays a key role in the robot's high speed orientation, articulation and accuracy.
