In this video, a robotic carton and case loader developed by Schneider Packaging Equipment Company, picks bags of food and packs them into boxes. The robots seen here are a series of three FANUC M-430iAs that are USDA-certified robots designed specifically for high-speed food handling applications. These robots are made with a special coating and with materials and seals developed to withstand caustic food industry cleaners and acids used in food plant washdown operations. Bags of food are received from an infeed conveyor. The FANUC M-430-iA robots utilize visual line tracking using FANUC iRVision to locate the bags. The robots then pick the bags using a vacuum gripper, and pack them into boxes. FANUC M-430iA robots can be mounted in a variety of positions. Here we see that Schneider Packaging has engineered overhead mounts for this automated system. The boxes of food are then carried out on an outfeed conveyor. The entire system, including infeed and outfeed conveyors, is developed by Schneider Packaging. You can learn more about Schneider's products at www.schneiderequip.com.
