Paper Roll Handling and Packaging System |
|
| |
A FANUC R-2000iB six axis robot handles rolls of paper in a fully automated roll handling and packaging system. Every minute and a half, three 65 lb. rolls or five 40 lb. rolls are produced. They are then retrieved and palletized by the robot. Completed pallets automatically advance through a muting light curtain to a fork truck retrieval station. The roll gripper is designed to handle the full range of finished roll outside diameters without a tooling change. Between layers and on new pallets, the robot picks a slip sheet from a rack and places it in position. |

R-2000 iB Robot
- The slim arm of the R-2000 iB and compact footprint allows for increased robot density, increasing throughput.
- Compact size and ability to flip over and work behind itself maximizes flexibility for work cell design, and saves valuable floor space.
- Large allowable wrist moments and inertias meet a variety of heavy handling challenges.
- Non-rotating forearm simplifies hose and cable dressout increasing service life.
- Proven, reliable FANUC servo drives provide highest uptime and productivity.
- High-performance motion yields fast cycle times and high throughput.
