This course covers the tasks a technician, programmer or engineer would need to accomplish in order to set up and use FANUC Robotic’s Dual Check Safety (DCS) software. This class is specific to robots with version 7.5 and newer software

Course Objectives: Students successfully completing this course will be able to:

• Set up and Modify DCS General parameters
• Set up and Modify DCS Position / Speed Check parameters
• Set up and Modify DCS Safe I/O parameters

In additional to presentations and demonstrations, this course offers a series of computer and robot-based lab exercises for the student to complete. Lab exercises are intended to reinforce what the student has learned through actual hands-on experience.
This course also includes a pretest and posttest to measure mastery of objectives.
Audience: This course is intended for the person who must set up an R-30iA (software version 7.5 and Newer) or R-30iB FANUC robot controller with DCS software installed.
Prerequisites: The student needs to be familiar with teach pendant menus, jogging, frames, basic programming, fault recovery and mastering of the robot prior to attendance in this class. Completion of a FANUC Robot Operations or Programming class is highly recommended.
