Service & Repair

FANUC America offers its experienced team of service engineers to provide a wide variety of support services to its customers. FANUC America provides seven basic levels of service and repair support to maximize robot and robotic system availability and uptime. Basic levels include:

 

Telephone-Based Technical Support Call Center: 1-888-FANUC-US

The Technical Support Call Center (1-888-FANUC-US or 1-888-326-8287) is available at no charge to all customers of FANUC America and is supported 24-hours a day, 7-days a week unless noted otherwise (all times are EST). Call Center options available include:

  • Down Production Support (Consultation, Parts, Emergency Service)
  • Telephone-Based Technical Consultation
  • Remote Diagnostics (Option)
  • Normal Service Scheduling and Dispatch
  • Preventive Maintenance Scheduling and Dispatch
  • Parts Ordering
  • Training (Product & Systems)
  • Robot Retrofit, Rebuild, or Re-application (Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM)

On-Site Service

Service is available regionally in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and the United States to minimize response time. Service on-site response times in the United Sates are typically eight (8) hours or less during normal business hours and 12 hours or less during non-business hours, weekends, and holidays (based on typical weather or road conditions, flight availability and performance, and the availability of appropriately skilled service personnel and parts). Maintenance Service Agreements

FANUC America offers customer an additional maintenance service option, which reduces overall administration and management of executing periodic and preventive maintenance services. Customer may choose to purchase Maintenance Service Agreements on a per robot basis. These Maintenance Service Agreements includes the services provided in the periodic and preventive maintenance described above, plus travel and living expenses.

Reliability & Maintainability Studies

FANUC America offers Reliability and Maintainability Studies to assist customers in identifying, validating, documenting, and prioritizing solutions to root causes of production downtime. The goal is to assist customers in maximizing the return on investment of critical production equipment, and identifying recommendations to increase equipment reliability and durability. FANUC America has been successful in assisting many customers by returning production systems to their full through-put potential, minimizing downtime and operating expenses, then advising on methods to maintain peak production efficiency.

Reliability & Maintainability Studies require on-site research of each production shift for an extended, mutually defined, period of time, as well as off-site preparation and report completion time. Studies are available on a time and material basis, standard price basis, or on a customized quoted price basis. Reprogramming & Production Optimization

Reprogramming & Production Optimization services are available to increase production through-put, improve equipment reliability, and improve start-up or downtime recovery procedures. The goal is to assist customers in maximizing the return on investment of critical production equipment via implementing recommendations to increase equipment efficiency, reliability, and ease-of-use.

Reprogramming and Production Optimization requires on-site research of each production shift for a mutually agreed period of time, as well as off-site preparation and programming development time. Reprogramming & Production Optimization services are available on a time and material basis or on a quoted fixed price basis.
